TOOTH RESTORATION
Filling gaps after a tooth extraction
Restoring the extracted teeth prevent teeth movements, improve chewing, speech and also the aesthetics of your smile and your face!

Crowns
Crowns cover the surfaces of the tooth and replace the ones that are missing, protecting the tooth from a chewing fracture. You can choose between a porcelain-fused-to-metal crown, a ceramic crown or a zirconia crown, according to your preference and prognosis. Crowns are used on teeth that have undergone root-to-canal treatment, on damaged or fractured teeth, on teeth with great fillings, in cases of dental loss due to bruxism or age, for change of color, shape and tooth formation and last but not least in cases of a removable prosthesis or a bridge. The procedure is completed with the cooperation of a dental laboratory, requiring 2-3 visits in Smiles Dental Clinic. Meanwhile, provisionals are placed on the prepared teeth for protection and aesthetic reasons.
Bridges
Bridges consist of two crowns, which are placed on adjacent teeth, and support a third crown that bridges the gap that was created after the tooth extraction. Restoring missing front teeth, apart from dealing with the aesthetic appearance of the smile and of the face as a whole, it keeps adjacent teeth in place and prevents misalignment, crowding or gap formation and improves speech. The bridge is attached on the natural teeth and it cannot be removed like a removable prosthesis, making it easier for the patient to accept. The whole procedure of the construction and the attachment of the bridge is similar to the one with the crowns, while the duration and number of appointments depend on the size of the bridge and the number of the supportive teeth. In the meantime, provisionals are placed, for the protection of the teeth and for aesthetic reasons.
Provisional crown / bridge
Provisionals are special restorations that are used to cover the drilled teeth before the attachment of the crown or bridge. They automatically improve the aesthetics of your smile, minimize the possibility of pain and protect the teeth from a fracture. Provisionals are also useful in cases of a smile makeover so the patient can get used to his or her new smile appearance and also make adjustments if needed.
